A lot of side projects got put on hold since classes started up again and I have teaching responsibilities, but that’s the way it goes. I’m taking General Relativity (covering exterior calculus and it’s applications to general relativity), High energy astrophysics (talking about how various astrophysical sources are able to produce these high energy photons that all the space missions are observing), and Biophysics (fluid dynamics and statistical mechanics applied to biological systems). I’m also teaching General Physics Labs.
I tried testbenching a 6502 CPU core that I found online, but ran into issues getting it up and running.
Baumann and Preskill readings are going slowly but surely. Got through the Boltzmann equations and its application to dark matter freeze out and the WIMP miracle, as well as generalized measurements.
I talked with a random person about Gray-Scott models for reaction diffusion; I think it would be fun to code that up with WASM (weekend project?).
